Encrypted .peach packages
What it is for
Encryption wraps a PDF in a PeachSoft AES-GCM package. The recipient needs PeachSoft and the password to recover the original PDF.
Before you start
Choose a long, unique encryption password and store it separately. The PeachSoft account service cannot recover a .peach package password.
Step by step
- Choose Open PDF.
- Enter and confirm a password of at least eight characters.
- Review the password-strength label.
- Choose Encrypt & Download.
- To reopen it, choose Open .peach.
- Enter the password and choose Decrypt & View.
What you get
A JSON-based .peach package containing encrypted PDF bytes. It is not a standard PDF.
Good to know
There is no password recovery. Use Protect PDF when recipients need an AES-256 PDF that opens in a normal PDF reader.
Troubleshooting
- Passwords do not match: re-enter both values.
- The package will not open: check the password and confirm the file ends in
.peach. - A PDF reader rejects it: reopen the package in PeachSoft.
