Library guide
What it is for
Library stores filenames, page counts, tags, notes and tool history in IndexedDB. It never stores PDF document bytes.
Before you start
Browser storage can be cleared by you, the browser or a managed-device policy. Download important files and export metadata backups.
Step by step
- Open a PDF in a PeachSoft tool to register its metadata.
- Use Search to find a filename or tag.
- Select a document card, edit Display name, then choose Rename Entry.
- Add a tag or edit notes, then choose Save Notes.
- Choose Export Index for a CSV backup.
What you get
A local metadata catalogue and optional CSV index. Reopen the original PDF from your device to continue editing it.
Good to know
Delete and Clear Library remove metadata only. Browser storage quotas vary, and clearing browser data deletes the Library.
Troubleshooting
- An entry is missing: reopen the original PDF in a tool.
- Notes cannot save: check that site storage is allowed.
- You need a backup: choose Export Index.
