Sign & Request guide
What it is for
Sign & Request can add your own visual signature to a PDF or prepare a portable request with fields assigned to several recipients. Everything is processed on-device.
Step by step
- Choose Open PDF.
- Select Sign this PDF for your own mark or Prepare a request for assigned fields.
- For self-signing, prepare a signature, click the page and export the signed PDF.
- For a request, enter the sender details, add every recipient and choose the routing order.
- Assign fields on the document and choose Download Request.
- Pass the
.peachsignfile through your normal secure channel; each recipient opens it, completes their fields and downloads progress or the final PDF.
What you get
Self-signing creates a PDF with your visible mark and a local record page. A request creates a portable package that retains its PDF, recipients, assigned fields, progress and hash-linked local events.
Prepare a signing request
- Open the PDF and choose Prepare a request.
- Enter the request and sender details, then add every recipient.
- Choose sequential or parallel routing and an optional expiry date.
- Select a recipient and field type, then click the document to place each required field.
- Choose Download Request and pass the resulting
.peachsignfile to the first recipient through your normal secure channel.
Complete a request
- Choose Open signing request.
- Select your recipient name. Sequential requests allow only the next recipient to act.
- Prepare a signature, enter any requested text and click each assigned field.
- Choose Download Progress if another recipient still needs to act, or Export Completed PDF when every field is complete.
Reusable templates
Save Template keeps the current recipients and field positions in this browser. Reuse it with another PDF that has the same number and arrangement of pages.
What the record means
The final PDF contains the original-document hash, local evidence hash, recipients, timestamps and locally recorded events. This supports local traceability. It is not a neutral third-party audit trail and does not prove who controlled an email address or device.
Important boundary
PeachSoft does not send invitations, host a signing ceremony, verify identity or create qualified, advanced or certificate-backed digital signatures. Use a suitable high-assurance service when those controls are required.
