Transcript Formatter guide
What it is for
Transcript Formatter cleans existing captions or pasted transcript text. It does not turn audio or video into text.
Before you start
Use SRT, VTT or TXT, or paste existing text. An optional source URL is stored only in the current page and can be included in exports; PeachSoft does not open it.
Step by step
- Import a transcript file or paste captions.
- Add a title and optional source URL.
- Choose timestamp, line-merge and source options.
- Choose Prepare Transcript.
- Review the cleaned preview.
- Choose Download TXT, Download HTML or Download DOCX.
What you get
A text, web-page or Word-compatible document downloaded to your device.
Good to know
Caption parsing is structural cleanup, not transcription or factual correction.
Troubleshooting
- No transcript appears: import or paste caption text first.
- Lines look fragmented: enable Merge short caption lines.
- Copy fails: select the preview text manually.
