Help & support

Practical help for PeachSoft's private, on-device PDF tools.

Accounts and sign-in

Choose Account to sign in with Google or an email and password. New email accounts must be confirmed from the message sent by the account service. Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen if needed. Account identity and sign-in activity are online, but selected documents remain in this browser.

Open and export documents

Choose a tool, select a PDF from your device, then use its Download or Export action to create a separate copy. Your original file is not changed. Project JSON is an editable backup for PDF Studio and is not a PDF.

Scanned text and OCR

Use OCR for image-only pages. PeachSoft includes English recognition only, and OCR can misread characters, especially numbers or low-resolution text. Review recognised content before editing or exporting.

A PDF will not open

Password-protected files require an unprotected copy before most tools can open them. A damaged-file message means the PDF could not be parsed. Reload the tool and choose the original file again; browser security prevents PeachSoft from reopening a local file automatically.

Redaction, encryption and signatures

Redaction exports image-based pages and must be visually checked. Encryption creates a .peach package, while Protect PDF creates a standard password-protected PDF. Sign & Request can exchange portable .peachsign files for local completion, but it does not send email or independently verify a recipient. Signatures remain visual marks rather than certificate-backed digital signatures.

Privacy and browser storage

Documents are processed in your browser and are not uploaded by PeachSoft. The Library stores document metadata, not PDF contents. Clear entries in Library or remove this site's browser data to delete local metadata and preferences.

Run PeachSoft locally (advanced)

Hosted sign-in and session renewal require an internet connection. To run a local development copy from the project folder, use python3 serve.py and open 127.0.0.1:8080. Exact localhost addresses use a development-only account bypass. Use python3 serve.py --port 8081 if port 8080 is occupied. Developers can use python3 serve.py --src to serve source files.
